Finance code

Here is the finance code that i have selected for funding my university place. I will be applying for some student finance to cover the cost of my university course as I will most likely not personally have the needed money for the course.

Qualifications

Here are all of my qualifications that i currently have and are currently studying for in my collage course. I will need these qualifications to apply for a place at a university in the future. These qualifications include my GCSE grade that i received in my secondary school, this also includes my level 3 diploma in creative media production and technology.

Uni Choices

Here are my choices for university’s that i would like too attend after I finish my second year at collage. My first choice is the university of Portsmouth, I have chosen this university because from what i have read about it it offers the best program for what i want to do after I graduate and i feel as though it would benefit me greatly in the future, it is also fairly close to home and would allow me to commute rather than live in or closer, My second choice for university would be the University of Chichester as once again i feel this would benefit me in the future and the course would help me develop more in the areas i want to develop in, My third choice is the university of Brighton, I have chosen this university as it is fairly close to home and would allow me to commute to university instead of having to seek student housing. My second choice of university was ACM London, I have chosen this course because the description of the course matched what i was looking for in a university course, although if i was to attend this university I would have to seek student accommodation because of how far this university is from my house, because of this I will most likely not be attending this university if another option is available.

Draft 1

I have always had an interest in the workings of household items and play toy’s, this led to me continuously dismantling almost anything that I could get my hands on as a child. After discovering Unity, Unreal and other programs used to create games and other software, I felt like I had discovered a sandbox for assembling and disassembling programs without permanently breaking them. This allowed me to slowly develop an understanding of how programs functioned, and then how to build them. I have also found writing code and building programs to be incredibly soothing and calming as I was able to create almost anything that I could imagine if I put enough time and effort into it. Eventually after completing the 1st year of a college course in games development, and then specializing in programming I was able to create small-medium games and programs. As an example, I am currently working on a small physics based ball game, the player is a ball and has to navigate through troublesome levels including jumps and mazes.
I have developed a strong interest in the development process of video games, specifically the programming aspect of it. I have frequently found myself questioning why games are made the way they are, and how they work. This interest then led me onto looking into the possibilities of becoming a games programmer so that I could eventually become one of the core influences behind the games that I question so often. I am applying to university so I can get further qualifications and develop a wider variety of knowledge in programming for games development so that I am able to build a successful career in developing games.
I would be a suitable candidate for this courses as I am experienced with programming in both C# and in some aspects of C++. I also have experience working with Unity, and am currently learning how to use Unreal engine to create games. I hope to expand this knowledge and learn to work with more games engines so that I can create a wider variety of games and interactive entertainment.  Being able to do this would please me greatly as I would love to see the public enjoying something that I have spent my time creating and it would make the entire process feel more rewarding.
During my GCSE’s I used Microsoft Visual basic to create programs in C++. In my current course I have chosen to specialize in programming, and work with Unity, programming in C#, and with Unreal programming in C++ Blueprints to create games. I can also use Maya to create both high and low poly models in an adequate quality that are able to be used in a game. Then I would like to be able to move onto a University course for games development to further specialize in programming and get a further qualification in Games Development.
During my first year at college I attended an industry day at college and I have also attended EGX’s Rezzed 2019 at London tobacco docks, whilst attending Rezzed I learnt how to better present my work to the public so that it will be noticed more.
After completing my education, I am hoping to go into the Games industry working as a programmer, to create action adventure game to be released for public use and enjoyment.

I have a strong understanding of how to code small programs using visual basic writing in C++. And I also have a strong understanding on how to code in C# using the Unity game engine to create small-medium fully functioning games, another skill I have acquired is to be able to use Maya to create low detailed 3D models.
After completing my education I am hoping to go into working in industry working as a games programmer as I have been studying to become a game programmer because I have a large interest in coding games and being love to be able to see the game come to life at the end of the design and development process.

Here is my personal statement that i made for my applications to all of my university choices i have, This will let the university know more about me and what i hope to achieve by joining their course and then what i want to go onto after i graduate.
